PASIG CITY, December 21, 2007 – Digital dissemination
and nimble networking both took a backseat as Microwarehouse management
and staff marked the holiday season with a uniquely themed office
shindig. Comic-book and Hollywood champions and their nemeses came
to life as the MWH family converged at headquarters in honor of
Yuletide, dressed in their flashy best, or in some cases, their
impressively worst.
Highlights of the evening’s jollification included members
of the ManCom dancing the Papaya, and MWH’s support group
cavorting down memory lane as they swayed and gyrated through Michael
Jackson’s 80s mega-hit “Thriller.” Company newbies
Patrick Reyes and Marc Angeles sang a passionate duet, to the rip-roaring
delight of the assembled league of extraordinary gentlemen –
and ladies.
Fabulous prizes were given away during the games and divertissements,
including a Jabra Bluetooth headset, four all-expense-paid vacation
packages (two tickets for two to any Philippine destination and
two tickets for two to any Asian destination), and nifty home appliances
such as an electric fan, flat iron, and microwave oven. Arvin Monge
of the Inbound Logistics Group captured the Best Costume award for
his splendid sartorial rendition of The Hulk, winning a Samsung
LCD TV.
“It was a great party altogether,” quipped Dianne Lee,
Business Unit Head for New Products Development. “See, we’re
not just about facts and figures. We can be as crazy as any bunch
of corporate cartoon characters.” Amen to that…and joy
to the (high-tech) world!
